mx_chatbox module for MX-System

Description:

• Chat based on PHP and JavaScript.
  
• This module is still based on Wooly Spud ChatBox MOD 3.0.1, which is based on Smartor ChatBox MOD 1.19a.
  
• As from version 1.1.0 started to change too many things, ...so I will never get back to Wooly's code. Please, do not ask him nor Smartor for support. I'll try to do my best.
  
• Please, check out version history below.

Features:

• ChatBox front as a block, allows user to join the chat session.
  
• Who's Online block with Chat information already in place.
  
• Chat is opened in a separate resizable window.
  
• User can set the text color (color picker tool).
  
• User color made permanent using cookies. (new in v.1.2.1).
  
• Ability to send URLs.
  
• Buttons: Refresh, FAQ, About and Exit.
  
• Smilies enabled.
  
• Commands (only available to admins):
  • /clear remove all chat messages.
    
  • /kick user closes the user's chat window.
  Also available through handy command buttons.
  
• User names in chatters list link to their profiles.
  
• AdminCP menu option for Chat Settings.

Installation:

• Requirements: MX-System v.2.7+ (recommended v.2.705+).
  
  
• Remove possible old installation:
  In the Administration Panel -> Module Administration, delete previous instance of this module.
  Delete all module files within /modules/mx_chatbox.
  
  
• Copy and upload new files:
  Unzip the distributed files into your portal modules directory: /modules/mx_chatbox.
  
  
• Import the module definition file:
  In the Administration Panel -> Module Administration, import Module Pack for this module.
  
  
• Configure Module Settings:
  In the Administration Panel, select the new module options.
  
  
• Add module blocks ChatBox Online and/or ChatBox Front to any Portal page:
  In the Administration Panel -> Block Administration (or Page Administration).

Upgrading?

• Simply upload new files to mxroot/modules/mx_chatbox.

Known issues/bugs:

• Error 404 when trying to see chater's profile from chatbox_front/online blocks.
